Client Comments

The following comments are from a few of my Richmond, Virginia clients. I don’t consider any of them “former” clients as I fully expect to assist them from out here. (I did recently help one with a filtration system for his new big pond) Many of them I’ve been helping for well over 10 years.  For Seattle client comments see the ALKI POND Facebook page.

Keeping a pond up and running is easy until you have a leak, fish get sick or you redesign your pond and problems occur. I have been frustrated for years thinking i can resolve these issues only to find out i don’t know what I don’t know. For over 15 years, I have worked with Bill to resolve even the most auspicious plans with my water gardens. His easy-going demeanor and patience alone is worth the price of admission! His strengths come two-fold; a vast knowledge of fish, their tolerances and reliable distributors as well as a thorough understanding of design and functionality of creating water gardens. His knowledge of pond life and how delicate the ecosystem works within is impressive. Don’t make the mistake of going at it alone at the expense of your fish’s life, Succinctly speaking, Bill Rogers is the patron saint of all my fish, bull frogs, plants and assorted critters that make my water garden their home!

Best of luck in Seattle – I’m jealous!

Bill Rogers has been maintaining the outdoor pond, indoor pond and freshwater tank here at the dealership since January of 2007. These water features were installed when the business opened twenty years ago. The last three years have been stress-free with Bill in charge. I have never felt that we have bought any equipment or fish that were not necessary, and that has not been the case in the years prior to Bill taking care of us. The fish are in great shape and the tank and ponds are in better shape than they have ever been. Bill even takes the level of service over the top by finding us a new ‘fish guy’ before he leaves.

We wish Bill and his family all the best in their new adventure in Seattle. He will be greatly missed!

Thanks for the great years of service!

Bill has been a great professional source for help with my fresh water turtle aquarium. He has always given me excellent advice and my turtle is thriving.
Bill also has done an excellent job maintaining the beautiful fresh water aquariums at our nearby elementary school. The aquariums always made the main entrance to the building really special…and educational too.
He is a true naturalist.
I wish him all the best in Seattle.

For several years now we’ve benefited from the service and expertise of Bill Rogers. We have two separate water features in our back yard, one of which is a waterfall spilling into a pond and the other of which is a stream spilling into a rock-covered reservoir. Although Bill didn’t install either of these water features (we didn’t know him then), he became intimately familiar with both of them and how they worked, and sometimes didn’t work, and put in the time and energy to fix their problems and upgrade their performance. Bill was always professional, responsive, creative, diligent, and results-oriented. He was up-front about costs, fair and reliable with estimates, and timely with getting things done. Plus, he’s fun to talk to and very knowledgeable! We’re really going to miss him, and so is our back yard! We highly recommend his services.
